Great Team Win at Spooky Nook Sports Complex

The 4th Grade JAGS National Team went 3-0 this weekend and won the East Coast Championship @ Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, PA.  Coach Paul Klauder and his assistant Justin Klauder could not have been prouder on how the team competed and played this weekend.  In Game 1 the JAGS defeated Syracuse Select 35-24 and were led by Nicholas Harkens with 13, Hiatt Smith with 7, Chase Boylan with 6, Matteo Magazzalo with 5 and Brice Robinson with 2 points.  Great defensive effort by Quinn Lebisky as well.

In Game 2 the JAGS exploded offensively with the most points of the season and bested Team PA Supernatural 55-29.  Harkens exploded for 19 points, Magazzalo had 6, Matthew Strohm had 6, JP Jandrisitz had 6 and played great defense, Boylan had 6 and Carter Fitzgerald had 2 and also great defense.

Since both the JAGS and West Penn Panthers were 2-0 the third game was decided to be the Championship game and the JAGS did not disappoint.  Playing some of the best defense all year the JAGS won easily 35-14 to earn their first championship of the year.  Strohm was incredible with 13 points and great poise handling the point, Smith had 7 and many rebounds, Boylan had 6 and Chase Correll had 2 and played great defense and exhibited great decision making all weekend.

It has been a really fun season to date and one more tournament is left @ the Sixers Complex in Delaware on 5/18 and 5/19.  It has also been a great coaching experience for father and son this year as well.
