The 5th Grade Girls Regional team took home the hardware May 4th and 5th at the Perkasie Battle in the Burbs.  Coach Hagmann, Coach Biesecker, and Coach McDonnell were extremely proud of how they overcome a tough loss in game 1 to win the next three games to win the championship.

Saturday started with a 23-14 loss to the Rebels – the Jags were paced by Kamryn Holohan with 5 points plus aggressive defense, strong guard play by Olivia Organtini, and the defensive intensity of Anya Vitelli.  The Jags turned up the defense for game 2 versus Bensalem and won 17-8, led by the shooting of Katie Hagmann for 8 points and the great rebounding and steals of Alexa Catoia. The Jags were 1-1 going into Sunday and were the 3 seed.

Sunday was a tough game against undefeated 2 seed Perkasie and the Jags won 16-11, led by the shooting of Brilan Biesecker and Alexis Vlioras with four points each and continued awesome defense by Ava Marsilio.  In the championship game, the Jags brought home the win with a 19-10 defensive battle against previously undefeated Rebels and the 1 seed.  Lauren McDonnell scored 12 points with some incredible shots, including a buzzer beater at the end of the first half and Jenna Ricketts had great defensive intensity on the press and amazing rebounding work.

Great job girls – awesome defense and fantastic team play.  We are all very proud of you and your hard work!
