All Coaches Finalized -- Tryouts are Soon

The AAU Jaguars are pleased to announce their A team coaches for 2017 season for 4th grade Girls and Boys.

On the girls side we are excited to announce that Chris Ellis will be the head coach for the 4th grade A girls team.  Chris has been playing basketball competitively his entire life.  He was on the PAC 10 championship Phoenixville HS team in 2005, starred in AAU hoops and played collegiately at Harcum College and then Delaware Valley College where he was a key part of the team that advanced to the Division 3 national tournament.  Chris has been coaching PAPA for the past 5 years and is also presently the head coach of the SF Travel 5th Grade B girls team.  He comes highly regarded and referenced and we are excited to have him as part of our club.  We will be looking for a strong parent assistant coach to help Chris during the 2017 season and we will identify that during tryouts.

On the boys side we are thrilled to have Nick Iemmello join our coaching staff and he will lead our 4th grade A boys team.  Nick is a lifelong basketball fanatic who has much experience coaching CYO, rec and travel teams.  Nick has been head coach of St. Teresa of Avila (Jeffersonsville, PA) plus YMCA, Upward, ARA recreation and currently the head coach of the very successful ARA 4th grade boys travel team.  Additionally, Nick brings a lot of passion and enthusiasm to the team's he coaches.

Our coaching staff is now complete and tryouts are upcoming.  An email will follow with specific times for grade groups once we can review the ICBA / CYO schedules to try to minimize conflicts.  All tryouts will be 1/8, 1/15 and 1/22 @ Spring Ford HS from 12:30 PM to 8 PM (again specific times will be announced soon).  Some grades will only have 2 of 3 weeks for tryouts (older groups) and some will have all three groups.  If we have enough gym space, interest and volunteers we will have B teams for certain grade groups.

Please sign up your son or daughter ASAP so we can get a head count on who will be attending.  You can do this at www.jagsbball.com.  $25 tryout fee, if you will make a team it will be credited to your total costs.

We are 100% non-profit.  We do this cause we love basketball, we love developing younger players and we thrive for a great experience.  There is NO club in the area that can rival our track record, coaches, facilities and price point.

If you have any questions please email Paul Klauder at pklauder@seic.com.
