Complete an Impressive 5 Year Run

The 11th Grade JAGS Black team won the East Coast Power 3 Varsity bracket this weekend at Competitive Edge.  On Saturday they started by defeating Downingtown Heat 69-36 and followed that up with an crazy offensive explosion and bested the NJ Connection 86-42.  On Sunday in the semifinals they continued their high scoring by beating The Ballers 75-50 and in the championship game the Downingtown Heat team gave them a very good battle and the JAGS needed to come back in the 2nd half but ended up winning 64-57.  All players contributed across the board and the JAGS stand out with their great play and their "camo" uniforms.  This was the 4th championship for the 11th Grade Black team in 2017.

Also this is the first JAGS boys team to complete the run all the way through 11th grade.  We started boys teams in 2013 and this group was in 7th grade and they have had an awesome 5 year run with many championships and successes and I am sure several players that will continue on and play college ball.  The head coach, Dan Brittingham, is one of the main reason for that.  He volunteered countless hours over the years and was a great mentor in developing them as players and individuals.  Also special thanks to Gary Lynch who was by Dan's side for the last 5 years as his main assistant coach and Bruce Williams who has been an assistant for the last 3 years.

Again congrats on a great season, your commitment to the JAGS organization and best of luck in your senior year and beyond.
